Located in southern Ohio, we strive for the best all around shorthairs. The utmost research and planning goes into our breeding stock.  Here, our dogs are part of the family and we will not slack on their training or life experiences. Our love for GSPs all started when we were on a hunting excursion. We had an Elhew english pointer, Brutus, and thought there was nothing better. Then we witnessed the amazing abilities of a shorthair. She moved gracefully, froze on point, and didn't abuse us with her tail. In case you're not familiar, the english breed have a long, powerful tail that whips back and forth when they are excited. Brutus would be ecstatic when he was in the field, so his tail was "abusing us".  Anyway, shortly after this trip we found Greta von JagerMeister. And since you can't have just one, a year later Griff Namen von JagerMeister, Anmut Gefallen vom JagerMeister, and Starke Kiefer vom JagerMeister came into our family. You can read more about them and others on "Our Dogs" page.
Let us tell you a little about ourselves and our hunting grounds.  I have another full time job, besides our dogs, at a power plant and Tia works as a nurse at a local hospital. We have two wonderful children, Bailey and  Brant. All of us enjoy hunting with our shorthairs and just having them around.  Our family owns about  500 acres of farmland, woods, and bird habitat and  are involved in the DNR Quail program.  Since this program has just recently started, we will still purchase quail and pheasant chicks. It's helpful to purchase them so you have them to start puppies out on.  However, there is nothing like coming up on a wild covey. Hopefully, within five years we will have the quail population that we used to have.  In our area predators have really wiped out our small game.  So, my father in law and I thought we would start trapping and give those predators a chance to be prey :).  Not to brag, but we've been pretty successful. Coyotes, fox and raccoon have sure had to up their game lately.    Anyway, whether you're interested in a pup or just looking, feel free to give us a call or e-mail. We love to share experiences with fellow upland hunters.

Check back soon and happy hunting.
